The expedition to Jaca in April has become something of a tradition and Chris Lewis and several members will once again be flying with the eagles in the Pyrenees. This year’s dates are April 9th to 24th. For more information, contact Chris Lewis on (email@example.com).
Also in planned for April is a weekend trip to Sutton Bank. Sutton Bank is a great ridge site – you can often fly even if the sun has disappeared. Sharon is organising the trip for April 14th to 17th (Easter weekend) and/or April 21st to 23rd. There is room for caravans and tents on-site, and local B&Bs can be found on the club’s website. On-site accommodation is also available but only for the weekend of April 21st to 23rd – some rooms are currently reserved for Cambridge GC members.
Site familiarisation flights and training will be available from local instructors, and their club gliders may be flown by suitably qualified CGC members. Members of the CGC single seater scheme have the possibility of taking an SSS glider subject to agreement with the SSS coordinator Peter Joslin.
The trip is being coordinated by Sharon Brown and she can help with accommodation. If you are interested in going along, or finding out more, please contact Sharon directly via firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07958 176112.
