This summer’s club events are:

The Open Day – Sunday April 10th

The Open Day is an opportunity to show case the club to the general public and attract new members. It will be advertised extensively but do sell it to your friends and relatives who might be interested in the sport. And do come along on the day, we can always do with volunteers to look after and enthuse our visitors.

Training courses

Starting on April 11th we will be running our popular 5-day “Go Gliding” courses throughout the summer. June will see the beginners’ evening course (with simulator) at Comberton Village College.  We will also be running “Introduction to Gliding” mini courses (a couple of hours of ground school plus flying) specially designed for friends, colleagues or family of club members. If you know anyone with an interest in any of these courses, please encourage them to contact Joanne in the office for details of dates and charges.

Women’s and Youth Days in July

We will be running a Women’s Day again this year and, and for the first time, a Youth Day. Both will be later in the summer (around July) with the aim of raising awareness of gliding amongst women and youngsters respectively. Volunteers to help with both events would be welcome. Please contact Rebecca Bryan (rebecca.bryan@amenuensis.com) wrt Women’s Day and Justin Brister (justin.brister@gmail.com) for the Youth Day.

Scouts Air Activities Camp

The annual weekend scout camp will be held in October. More information will be published nearer the time.
