Dear All
As we move to the autumn, we have taken the decision to resume using the bus, primarily as a way of protecting equipment from rain and damp conditions.
Due to Covid-19, face coverings must be used inside the bus and only 4 people may use it at any one time. Please clean your hands with hand sanitiser on entry and exit from the bus.
Thank you to those that helped Oliver clean the launchpoint bus recently – Cadets Lowenna and Lucy Cotton, Duncan Withers and Erik Pretorius. Also Jo Brand, Steve Pleasance, Johnathan Linger and Pete Joslin (I hope I haven’t missed anyone).
The interior has been rearranged and Oliver has installed a whiteboard and briefing/debriefing area at the back, I hope you all enjoy using this new facility. Although deployment and stowage of the board is simple, please watch this short video to help avoid damage: Bus Briefing Board
In future, a table will be installed between the facing seats as a post-COVID coffee-break/logbook-writing area, and the ballast box will be given a facelift and stored more securely.
There are also 3 new colour-coded buckets to store spare black/blue/red strops at the launchpoint.
Please report any defects/damage to Oliver so repairs can be made in good time, but please do your best to look after these new upgrades.
Regards,
Pete Joslin
