Once you’ve arrived at the main gate on the B1046, there’s still over a mile of farm track and then the old airfield perimiter road to navigate before arriving at the clubhouse. Please follow this route as it ensures you won’t come into conflict with landing or launching gliders, but do also keep a good look out, just in case. Pay particular attention passing through the the glider trailer park, the hard standing for tugs, and past the main hangar doors.
You may also meet farm traffic en route, so please give way wherever possible. The surface of the track and road is very pot-holed in places, so try to avoid the deeper ones and keep to the speed limit. The track is wide and easy to navigate if you are bringing a glider in a trailer. There’s plenty of parking to the rear of the clubhouse and all club members will be happy to direct you as you arrive.
