At the end of the September the club will revert to t
he winter schedule, with club flying on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and of course at weekends. So training flights, trial flights and even some soaring will continue. The two seaters can be booked in the normal way, and some of the club’s single seat aircraft will remain in the hangar rigged and ready to fly.
And for those of you looking for that extra challenge over the winter, the Kelman Clock trophy is there for the taking. This trophy is awarded for the longest handicapped flight around up to 3 turning points, launched from Gransden Lodge and achieved between October 1st and the end of GMT (so March 25th) inclusive.
Over the Christmas period there will be club flying on Christmas eve (Saturday) but not on Xmas Day, Boxing Day or the substitute Xmas Day on the 27th. Flying will continue on Wednesday 28th. Similarly, over New Year there will be club flying on New Year’s eve (Saturday) but not on New Year’s Day with flying continuing on the substitute New Year’s Day of Monday the 2nd.
