When we heard that a centenarian lady veteran wanted to fly in a glider, we knew we had to make it happen. A group of club members, with the support of the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans who arranged the travel logistics, worked together to fulfil Robbie’s ambition. On a beautiful December day Robbie took to the sky for a 25 minute flight in our K21 glider. How much she enjoyed the experience was clear to those who welcomed her back to earth. All involved agreed that it was a good day.
