Junior Nationals 2023 (19th – 27th August)
Welcome to the CGC Junior Nationals 2023 details page.
As trailered by Finn Sleigh’s interview on BBC Cambridge last Friday the 2023 Junior Nationals are well underway at Cambridge Gliding Centre and run until Monday 29 th August. Finn is the
Competition Director – an ex-CGC Cadet – and National, European and World Junior Champion.
He will be watching the competition with a particularly personal eye as the winner will be his successor as National Champion because Finn is now over 25 years old. If you missed it you can find Finn’s interview here. Just position yourself 1 hour 12.5 min into the programme to listen to it.

Soaring Spot 2023 Junior Nationals
Three current CGC Cadets are in this competition – James Alexander his DG-300 (FUU), Eric Pretorius in his Pik 20D (869) and Charles Brooker is racing in the CGC owned Pegasus (FVV).

Cloud Rally
Annually, the Cambridge Gliding Centre hosts the Cloud Rally, a competition designed to accommodate newer cross country pilots as well as the more experienced ones.
